Community policy

These rules apply to students, parents and buddies during messages, bookings and visits.

Appropriate behaviour

Treat people with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, unwanted sexual attention and pressure to share private information are unacceptable. Respect personal boundaries and stop an activity if someone feels uncomfortable.

Keep students safe

Agree the meeting place, tasks and expected time before starting. Meet in a public place first. Keep passwords and financial details private. Follow the younger-student consent and service eligibility checks described on our safety page.

Agree the work and payment

Choose the tasks you need and discuss any changes with your buddy. State included purchases and costs upfront. Pay through the booking’s milestone payment flow. The buddy receives 85% of the agreed payment after the report is approved; the platform retains 15%. See the payment and cancellation terms.

Report problems

Use "Report this profile" on a buddy’s page to report inappropriate behaviour and block future bookings. For a funded milestone, use "Raise a concern" in the booking to pause payment while the team reviews the issue. Include what happened, when it happened and the relevant booking details. Keep sensitive documents out of chat.

Breaking the rules

The team reviews reported concerns and can suspend a buddy profile from new bookings. Payment disputes are reviewed using the agreed tasks, report and supporting evidence. Raising a concern does not promise a particular refund or outcome.

Cancellations and changes

Tell the other person promptly when plans change. Edit or reschedule an unfunded booking through its booking page so the updated tasks, price and dates can be approved. Cancellation and refund rules are explained in the booking terms.

Privacy and messages

Use chat to coordinate. Keep important task choices, schedules, reports and payment decisions in the booking. Students decide whether parents can see their reports. Read our privacy notice for details about personal information.
