Check your accommodation agreement for utilities, internet and any shared costs. Keep a list of providers, payment dates and who is responsible for each bill.
2. Check your Council Tax position
Student discounts or exemptions depend on eligibility and household circumstances. Follow Edinburgh Council’s current guidance and application process rather than assuming your student status is enough.
3. Use official support
For financial difficulty or unclear bills, contact your university or college’s student support team. A buddy can help you find the right contact; they should not handle your banking credentials.
